Generally when I make contact with a client, I like to have a one on one meeting to discuss what type of activity may be occurring. This meeting is very low key, and I am always prepared to answer the clients questions about an investigation. I also ask questions of the client to get a better understanding of what exactly was encountered and discuss what type of physical occurrences may have occurred, or may be occurring which could have been mistaken for something Paranormal or are contributing to the activity. These questions are not meant to offend, but rather eliminate any other possibility before a determination can be made whether Paranormal activity is present or not. These questions are also meant to get a better understanding of the total situtation as in some instances Paranormal activity is the absolute last resort which could be explored or examined.
Once the initial meeting is over, I will make arrangements for myself and my fellow investigators to conduct an examination. Although it does at times help if the

client is present, most of the time it is best if the client is separate from the investigation to eliminate any outside influences and keep the environment as controlled as possible. In most instances it is also best these investigations are conducted in the evening or night hours, which will be explained at the meeting.
At the conclusion of the examination all evidence will be combed over, searching for substantial pieces which can be presented to the client which either supports or dismisses the claims. Any evidence that is discovered is scrutinized, and attempts may be made to replicate the findings. This may involve a second examination of the scene. This second examination may take place during the presentation of the evidence to the client. Due to varying amounts of information gathered full investigations can take several weeks.
